Edinburgh songwriter David Heavenor plays one of his occasional live shows, featuring material from his recent album The Automatic Eye. Joining him for this show is performer, producer, broadcaster and chief Pearlfisher, David Scott (producer of The Automatic Eye).
The memorable lines and cinematic images from songs such as Linger and Go and Sign in a Stranger , a tone reminiscent of Al Stewart or Nick Drake, and the unmistakable atmosphere of Edinburgh in winter, have won David an intrigued and appreciative worldwide audience on BBC Radio Scotland's Iain Anderson Show over the years, as well as the continued support of Ricky Ross, BBC Radio Scotland's Tom Morton, and David Scott (as above).
"Linger and Go.....A masterpiece of songwriting" Tom Morton The Scotsman
"The mystery man of Scottish music - but shouldn't be" David Scott, broadcaster and musician
"Of all the love songs we've played tonight, I wish I'd written this one...." Ricky Ross, talking about Jenny and the Cold Caller on BBC Radio Scotland's Iain Anderson Show
Support comes from singer and songwriter Sandy Wright, fresh from touring with Aberfeldy. Sandy's songs have been recorded by Kris Drever (Steel and Stone, Beads and Feathers) ,the above-mentioned Aberfeldy (Tom Weir), and many others.
